Wider Achievement

Wider Achievement refers to how greater recognition can be given to young people’s achievements beyond formal qualifications.  In the context of Aberdeen Guarantees, many of these awards can promote and develop skills for work, which young people can then evidence on their CV or at interviews for employment and / or training.

Many of the achievement awards listed below can develop a range of employability skills including:

  • Planning and organising
  • Communicating
  • Solving problems
  • Undertaking tasks at short notice
  • Working with others
  • Thinking critically / creatively
  • Learning and continuing to learn
  • Taking responsibility for own development
